Getting started
Prepare your first Fill In Board
A Map provides the background. To make the Board operational, start an incident, add apparatus, and save the standard arrangement as the Board's deployment.
Build your Map
Open Map Builder, create a Map, and use it on a new Board. The Map becomes the background for apparatus placement during incidents.
Sign in to open Map BuilderOpen the Board and start an incident
Enter a clear incident or exercise name. Choose the saved deployment when one exists, or start with an empty Board.
Add your apparatus
Choose Add Unit, enter a short apparatus name such as E17 or T2, and select its standard type. Repeat for the resources you normally display.
Arrange the units
Move each unit to its normal starting location. Select a unit to edit it, tip or untip it, or remove it. Use Fit Map whenever you need a complete view.
Save the deployment
Open Manage, choose Deployments, and save the current arrangement. This release supports one reusable deployment per Board.
Choose the starting arrangement
Make the deployment the default if it should be preselected for future incidents. You can still choose an empty Board when starting an incident.
Invite responders
Use Permissions to invite other users. Assign User access for viewing and messages, or Admin access for operating incidents and apparatus.
Close the incident
Close the incident when live changes are finished. Start the next incident when ready, or review the prior incident through Incident History.
What gets saved?
The live incident saves operational changes as you work. A deployment separately saves a reusable unit arrangement. Updating a deployment does not change the Map background, and editing a source Map does not automatically update a Board.
